that is encouraging considering I think we are working on a three lane highway around here. My oldest just turned 15, the middle will be 12, and the youngest 8 turning 9 years old. Miracles do happen! I am very fotunate and I am thankful for him, and all my girls.

Many thanks for your kind words of support. My new book is based on my experience when my son was eleven and I came up with this innovative new approach to a difficult conversation.

Today my son is a grown man who became a veterinarian. We all love animals in my family and I'm delighted to know you are living with so many.

Very best wishes to you,
Rosalind

Amen........I see it so clearly. I cannot understand, and I pray that it changes, how a women can carry and then give birth to a child only to hand it over to another human being to teach it values, morals, habits, and God knows what else.

Children are shaped by what they are around. They come into this world as a sponge and the sponge soaks up all that it is in. If you have a sponge that has been soaking up grape juice all day long, and then you let it soak up some clean water at the end of the day. When you squeeze it out your going to see the grape juice...not the clean water. We need to realize that it is our reasonability to be training up our children. Who better to teach them our values. So many parents with wrong priorities are so quick to pursue their goals and dreams, that they forget the most precious gift...their children. They unknowingly are allowing other human beings to train up their children. They are unknowingly allowing other human beings to shape the morals and values of their very own children. This goes against all natural law. You would never see this even in the animal kingdom. Imagine this ...A mother bear gives birth and then after 6 months she gives her baby bear cub to another lady bear, who by the way is now taking care of all the other neighbor bear cubs, to raise and teach this new arrival all the ways of a bear. All this while the original mother bear goes about doing the things that bring her pleasure...fulfilling her needs and desires..............WOW...........even a mother bear wouldn't do that.

We who have children need to get our priorities straight. We need to recognize the charge and treasure that has been entrusted to us. I ask all parents out there if they would give a brand new outrageously expensive car to a neighbor to use for a couple of days. Just take it and do what you will with it. It only cost me $50,000. Would you just hand it over and never think twice about what might happen to it? Are your children not more valuable than a car? What have we been doing with our kids?

I'm sorry for this long winded reply. I am just very passionate about this topic. If we can only remember that the mind of a child is like a sponge and it WILL soak up what it is around, and if it stays in grape juice long enough...you'll never get that stain out.

God Bless,
David

Here's a link to my story. Feel free to rate it as well.

Have you ever gotten so busy that you don't feel like you're getting anything accomplished?
That's the way I have been feeling for the past six weeks and today I have finally realized that the stuff that has been taking up all of my time belongs to everyone else.

It is such a strange feeling to work from 5 a.m. until well after dark and find that MY interests, jobs, projects and personal time are non-existent. Between managing hubby's business and all the farming I do while he is away, GS1 and… Continue
