Grow Together

giving kids the roots to help them sprout

I'm sitting here with my make-up half done and my hair scraggled back with a head band as my mind ponders over aaaaaalll the things to do today, including those things today that apply for next week, Halloween, PTL mtg, school party, etc.

It can be overwhelming. It helps me to have it ticked out on a list where I can check each thing off, be it little or big, so that I can give myself credit at the end of the day for actually accomplishing something.

Otherwise, I find myself feeling like I got nothing done. No parent wants to feel like they 'got nothing done' when we all know we've been running the track of life since the moment we perked our heads from our beds in hopes that the alarm clock was wrong.

Be sure to make some TIME this TUESDAY! And, give yourself credit for the things you get done today -- even, if one of those things is outlining your day tomorrow.
;-)

And, if you happen to visit here -- share the big iron you plan to tackle today. For me? I plan to hit all the errands in the city with one full swoop:

* notary job 1
* notary job 2
* fabric store
* bread store (since I'm in town)
* B-day gift for party this weekend
* grocery
* prepare for PTL meeting (tonight)
* pick up kids; and then start all that routine.

What's on your agenda? Write it out so you can check it off. It's a satisfying feeling.

:-) Happy Tuesday!

Tuesday is my day off. Uh, make that not going into the office. So far I've:

Done 4 loads of laundry (needs to be put away)
Gone to dance class/taught for Peanut
Took Peanut to school
Target
Finished cleaning and rearranging girls room
Still on agenda:
Pick up MA from school
Diva to dance class
More laundry? Doubtful.

It's been a pretty productive day actually. Felt like I did a lot more than what I wrote down here.

Great list and great job, Debbie! I'm sure you DID do a lot more than what is written down. The little things like nagging kids about their afternoon snack, and to pick up their shoes, and to put away their backpacks and to stop arguing, picking up the crud trail left behind them, etc. That' what takes up half our time, LOL!

Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays. It's not so much the food and the family, although they are both great. Its the fact that we have a chance to take a step back and say what we are thankful for and I love that! My list is long, here'...
