Grow Together

giving kids the roots to help them sprout

As all of you are aware, I send out a broadcast message each morning with links to the newest discussions and Root & Sprout articles, as well as any important announcements. What I want to know is (truthfully) if you read the broadcast message each day or if you delete it from your inbox automatically. I am simply trying to gauge the popularity/effectiveness of broadcast messages.

Thanks so much!

So far I have loved them. They highlight great topics and I like to hit the links as they are convenient and give a quick read to what is there. :-)

To be honest, I do delete it. Daily messages seem to be too much for me. I would be happier with once a week, but that is just me.

It depends on my day ... how busy it is, how many other emails I've received, what time of day I see the message, etc. Typically, I at least open it (to check and make certain you did not just tell me you were going to transfer a million dollars into my bank account only if I responded :).

Seriously, there are days when my in box is so full that I simply don't have time to open most of my messages, but for the most part, I at least peek in and see what is being offered. If the topic is relevant to my world, I will save it for later if I don't have time to read it immediately.

Hope this input helps,
;-Deb

I don't think I've ever deleted anything from Grow Together.... though must say I probably only have time once or twice a week to really follow the articles....

I read them usually everyday, and usually click on at least one of the links. :)

I always open and read them, but I've started a new job and haven't had time to respond to discussions and blog posts lately. Hopefully I'll find a rhythm soon and be able to more fully participate.

I read it. I don't always click through, but I like getting it to remind me it's there. I try to click through when I can.

I try to read them everyday. If I don't read them one day, I will read 2 the next. I like being kept up with what is new on the site.

I do look at emails. ..I don't click unless article interests me and sometimes I say "I'll look later" and either forget to, or I do go back and click again. I think if you are trying to build your numbers - once a week is way too little - you should stick with each morning. . .and those who don't want to, will just delete. . .that is my theory.. .

I can honestly say that most days I don't read it. But that's because the topics don't always apply to my life since my kids are all grown up. I think for your own sanity you should drop back to no more than once a week if not just drop it completely unless there's something extra special you want to get out quickly. The last thing I'd want to see happen is for you to get so burned out that you chuck it all. You are onto some good stuff here and it really needs to continue.

The second thought is to remember that anything we human types see daily becomes mundane and we start taking it for granted cuz, hey!, there'll be another one tomorrow so why pay too much attention to today's? Infrequency, in our weird minds, equal specialness. And what you've got here is specialness -- we just need to make sure folks percieve it that way. ;o)

Hugs and hang in there, darlin!

Hi Lis
I read them and of course depending on the day, I have an opportunity to read most.
Hope this helps.

I actually skim through it and click on something on average every couple of times. Hope this helps. It definitely reminds me to check in.
